Version 2025.3.28 Released

This update fixes an issue that was brought up by one of our users in which importing a book with a future publication date would cause the app to crash in some places. With this update you can now add and edit future-dated books, such as ARCs, without any issues.

Version 2025.3.26 Released

• In the Series details screen you can now see statistics related to series, such as the overall progress across all books in the series, as well as tropes, tags, categories, and custom ratings found in the series.
• The Calendar will now remember your choice for what to show, so you don't have to manually change that every time you open the Calendar.

Version 2025.3.10 Released

• Support for book series is finally here! You can now organize books by series, including the order of each book in the series.
• The UI has been completely revamped to allow for a more streamlined and organized experience (it may take you some getting used to for this new layout, but in the end the change will be worth it!). Every type of search (whether by tags, ratings, authors, you name it) is all in one place now, inside the shelves.
• Data export has been fixed
• Categories have been adjusted, as there used to be some duplicates. Now any comma separated categories will be treated as a separate category, which was always the intended behavior.
• More options have been added for data deletion; in addition to the option to delete your entire library in the Settings, you can now also choose to delete only certain types of data (notes, series, tags, etc).

Version 2025.3.3 Released

Great news Mac users! While the *native* Mac version is still not ready, starting today the iPad version is available for MacOS! While it may not be the native version, it does look and feel quite good to use! Take it for a spin and let me know your thoughts. And worry not, the actual native version is still planned for development :) But wait there's more!... When completing books you can now right there and then write your thoughts about the reading in a completely private review. You will find a new section now for completed books that will show your review as well as your overall rating and any custom ratings. Moreover, this update brings a significant improvement to the quality of book covers, as I have changed the compression type for images and they now look much sharper!

This update brings a massive performance improvement for shelves with large libraries. Moreover, I have added a quality-of-life improvement where you can now add multiple custom ratings to a book without having to leave and re-enter the "Add Custom Rating" screen.

Version 2025.2.19 Released

• ReadTracker's biggest update yet is here! There is a revamped Home screen, in which you will find your latest readings, leading to a handy shortcut to access your currently in-progress books. The Library tab containing all of your library has been dethroned as the entry point to the app. This will allow you quicker access to the books currently being read. The book calendars are now also accessed from the Home screen.
• Export your data. In addition to importing your own library via a CSV file, you can now also export your ReadTracker library for external use.
• You can now import ratings as well in Custom Import.
• When editing custom ratings, you can now edit not just the score, but also change the rating's emoji.

Version 2025.2.3 Released

There's a new Subscription Manager in the Settings for Bookworm users. Here you can make any adjustments to your current subscription, from changing plans to canceling to requesting a refund. I hope that you're happy with ReadTracker's Bookworm subscription and that you continue to support its development, but nevertheless I'm adding this feature for your peace of mind. If you ever need to make any adjustments, you can now do so right from the app :)

• The previous update introduced the ability to specify whether someone had recommended a book to you. In this update you can also do this while editing a book's metadata in Edit mode and also when adding a book manually (not from online search).
• More importantly, this update fixes a nasty bug that was causing the app to crash when editing a book.

Version 2025.1.10 Released

• One of ReadTracker's most requested features is here! You can now specify a date for a reading log entry, and you can also edit the date for an entry already added. Press and hold the entry's card, then you'll be presented with the option to edit the entry's date.
• Yet another highly requested feature has been added to this release: When adding a book to your library you can specify whether the book was recommended by someone. This way you can keep track of who your true book buddies are ;)
• Fixed an issue where a goal's completion date wasn't correctly set when manually marking a goal as "completed"
• Fixed an issue where the number of pages read and hours spent for each month in a particular year wasn't correctly computed when the user had multiple readthroughs in some books. Now the stats show the correct amounts.

**Critical Hotfix for iOS18.2** For users on iOS18.2 the app was crashing when updating the library status (backlog / in progress / completed / abandoned). This was due to an unforeseen change in the iOS18.2 framework APIs. The issue has now been addressed in this update.

Critical Hotfix Update for Storygraph import. Since Storygraph data does not contain page count for any book, and this is a crucial piece of data in ReadTracker for books that track reading progress with pages, I have added a fix in this update. Added a hotfix for fetching book covers when importing Goodreads library. Book covers used to be fetched from Open Library, but their system has been down for days. An alternative solution has been added to this update.

Live Activities are here! You can now see the reading timer in Live Activities and Dynamic Island (on supported devices). Also some general bug fixes, including a temporary fix for the import of Goodreads data. When importing data from Goodreads, book covers are fetched from Open Library, whose servers have been down for a couple of days. Added a temporary solution so that the data import does not get interrupted due to this external problem with Open Library.
